Police Chief

Approximately six square miles in size with no industry or business within its borders, Atherton is arguably one of the most desirable communities on the San Francisco Peninsula. Reporting to the City Manager, the Chief directs a comprehensive law enforcement program, including community resource programs in the Town's schools, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, as well as the more routine calls for service. Bachelor's in criminology, law enforcement, social or police science, public administration or related field and four years command or supervisory experience in the police service at the level of Lieutenant or above. P.O.S.T. certifications (management level) and/or FBI Academy preferred. Salary range is $132,804 to $156,240 DOQ.
