GREETINGS to our Members, Visitors and Supporters Worldwide!

Jane Townsley
President IAWP

WELCOME

The International Association of Women Police was formed in 1915 and incorporated in 1926. From humble beginnings, we have grown to include members from 60 countries with Coordinators in 18 IAWP Regions. In addition, we are proud to count women policing organizations from around the world as IAWP affiliates. In 2012, the 1st Asian Women Police Conference was held in Dhaka. The IAWP BOD was invited to hold their Early Board meeting to coincide with the conference. The members of the Board also participated in the International Women's Day parade in the streets of Dhaka with the police women of Bangladesh. The IAWP BOD supported the newly-formed Emirates Women Police Association having been invited to attend the first Women Police Conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE, during their trip into the Region.

Exciting news - The 2012 Annual Training Conference is in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Discover more below. This year is an election year for IAWP Board positions. Read about the IAWP candidates in the elections section.
