IAWP is pleased to announce that IAWP Region 13 will be hosting it's first Regional Conference entitled "Women Police in the Middle Europe". The Region 13 conference will take place May 11 - 13, 2009 in Hannover, Germany. The organizer for the conference will be Ecclesiastical Duty for Police Officers in Lower Saxony, Germany. The official language for the conference will be English. Registration opened October 1, 2008. Registration fee is 199 Euro October 1st through January 30th 2009.

The training workshops include; cross-cultural competence in police force, Joint Investigation Units Customs/Police for Narcotics, Pastoral Care in Police, International Police Cooperation (Europol, Eurojust), CopCultur, Salafism, LGBT persons in the police, History of women in Police in Germany and much more. (The police in LowerSaxony, Helicopters, mounted police, Police dogs, Police collection, water police and even a technical section).
