Leeds UKThe 2009 Annual Training Conference is here! How exciting for all IAWP delegates! We sincerely welcome our colleagues from around the globe, and we are very aware of the sacrifices many of you made in order to join us. You will be glad you did. The training program is full of innovative speakers and new information. You will take away much material from basic fundamentals to strategic facts particular to law enforcement work - no matter where or to what country your work takes you! We also have some time scheduled where you can relax and enjoy yourself like at the Annual IAWP Awards Luncheon at Noon on September 23, 2009, where we recognize and honor international heroines in the law enforcement field. One can not help but be changed
forever when you learn and read of the actions for which these women are being recognized. What perfect role models for all of us but especially for our first-time conference participants and newer IAWP members! We also have to mention the Final Banquet on Thursday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the evening. Not only will we delightfully wrap up the training by sharing an outstanding meal, but those of us who are so inclined will come in costume relating to the Wizard of Oz!
For members only, we have some organizational business to discuss and those meetings will be held as follows:
- IAWP Regional Meetings, Monday, September 21, 2009
5:15 - 6:00 p.m., Fourth Floor Foyer
- IAWP Annual Member Meeting (referred to as the Annual General Meeting)
Tuesday, September 22, 2009,
4:15 p.m. Grand ITake advantage of this wonderful opportunity and I shall see you soon!
