          Senior Superintendent of Nepal Police Bimala Thapa Sharma, born in Nuwakot, residing at Gongabu - 3 Kathmandu Nepal had started her service since 1984. She is the senior most and highly -ranked Women Police Officer serving in Nepal Police. She has 25 years of service experiences, during which time she has served in a variety of roles, like Company Commander, Staff Officer of Regional Police Chief, Traffic Management, and Ceremonial Pared Commander. Like wise In charge Driving License Issuance Unit, Camp Commandant of Drug Rehabilitation Center, International Airport Security Chief and has already been Head of 3 Zonal Police Offices, and served 2 years with the United Nations Missions in Cambodia (UNTAC) and Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL).

          SSP Bimala has obtained different types of training, like English and Deutch language, Basic Police Inspector, Crime Investigation, General Police Administration, Aviation Security, VIP Security, Traffic Engineering & Management, and Senior Management Development Program. Similarly, she has participated various sorts of on the job trainings, orientations, workshops, seminars, and symposiums. She has attended three conferences of IAWP Toronto - 2000, Canberra - 2002 and San Francisco - 2003. During these conferences, she met colleagues from all around the world and obtained good opportunities to share diverse experiences.
