Annual Awards Program and Ceremonies

Awards for female police officers issued by the International Association of Women Police under its Annual Award Programs are highly competitive, prestigious forms of international recognition for women police officers.  There are two distinct types of recognition under the annual IAWP Awards Programs.

The first group falls under the Annual Awards Program.  These nominations are submitted by an individual's higher-level supervisors for a single, specific award category.  Each award category has its own set of criteria in order to be considered.  The second type of IAWP recognition for female police officers is the International Recognition and Scholarship Program wherein an individual nominates herself.  For both programs, recipients are honored during each Annual Training Conference.   The Annual Award honorees are recognized during an Awards ceremony hosted by the annual IAWP Conference Committee.  IAWP Award Recipients are prominently featured in the WomenPolice Magazine.
